The holidays are over for many, although the children still have a few days for the long-awaited Back to School. In the teaching process, the little ones only carry their breakfast in a small bag that can be bought anywhere.
However, today we present you a very cool and original to do it with your own hands. With any scraps of fabric left over and a bit of ribbon, we'll have our own kids' satchel made by their dear mom.
Materials
- Piece of cloth.
- Cord or ribbon.
- Thread and needle or sewing machine.
- Ruler.
- Pencil.
- Scissors.
Our Process
Firstly, we will cut the fabric. For this bag, 30 cm high (1 cm margin at the bottom and 2 cm at the top) and 27 cm wide (1 cm margin on each side) have been measured.
Once two pieces of fabric have been cut with this measure, we will sew the hem with the measurements in parentheses with the part of the printed fabric facing each other.
We will leave the no-sew top and we will fold each part of it towards the inside, sewing in the final part, to leave a hole. It is here where we will introduce the tape or folded rope.
Finally, we will carry out some strong and thick knots so that they do not get into said hole and the bag falls apart.
