Hello!! Around here we continue with our Halloween crafts. For today some ghostly letters to decorate our door or our living room. We are going to make a poster «BOO» for Halloween.
You can put it on the door as I have done or you can also hang it on the shelf or on the curtain, that and where you like the most !!!. So let's go with the step by step.
Makings:
- Paperboard.
- pencil.
- cutter.
- Plaster.
- Acrylic paintings.
- Brush.
- White gel pen.
- Headband.
- Cord.
- Punch.
* Note: you can change the acrylic paints and gesso if we use chalk paint.
- We will draw the letters on the cardboard, This has to be thick so that the letters are more resistant. The size of the letters will depend on the size you want for the poster, think that there are three letters, so it will be a third of your poster.
- We will cut with the help of a cutter or if we see it better with scissors, along the lines marked with the pencil, both in B and in the two Os. (A trick to make the round O is to help us with a plate or something circular to remove the template by marking the outline with the pencil).
- We will paint the letters with gesso and let it dry. (If you are going to use wax paint, we will skip this step).
- We start with the letter B: giving a coat of black acrylic paint and letting dry. (The wait is what costs the most, but if you have a heat dryer you can speed up the process).
- We will mark the cobweb lines with the white gel pen, however we like it the most!
- Now the turn of the letter O: we will give a layer of white acrylic and in the contour we will apply with a very dry brush a little black to give them depth.
- We will paint an inner circle in green and we will do the same with the black paint, to give it more realism.
- Last a black circle in the center.
We only have to mount it:
- We will make a loop on top of the letter B.
- We will mark some holes with the punch or a punch.
- We will join the letters with lanyard.
