These butterflies have a creativity that everyone likes. With the help of a wire we will form their wings and decorate them with plastic beads. In my case I have used the famous Hama Beads beads, since they are very peculiar due to their colorful shape, and thus we can make beautiful wings. With the rest of the materials such as the pipe cleaners and the pompoms, you will finish making this insect so endearing.
The materials that I have used are:
- two wooden clothespins
- red and blue acrylic paint
- a fine wire that can be bent easily
- colored plastic beads, the kind used to make Hama Beads
- pipe cleaners to make the antennas, they better be bright
- small pompoms
- hot silicone with gun
- Brushes

First step:
We paint the two clamps. One we will paint it with acrylic paint blue and the other red. We have to see that all the holes are well painted.
Second step:
We cut a piece of wire of about 65 cm and we are bending it to make the shape of the wings. When we have made the form we put the beads and we interspersed the colors. As we enter the accounts we move them around so that the next ones are entered. So that the beads do not escape me, from one end we place a small glob of silicone.
Third step:
We leave the central parts of the butterfly folds a little free to be able to leave space for the closure of the clamp. If you don't want the beads to move on your site, help yourself with globs of silicone.
Fourth step:
We place the clamp and we fit well between the gaps so that it can be closed without forcing. We catch two pieces of pipe cleaners and we hit them on the top of the clamp. We will also paste two pompoms in the upper part of the pipe cleaners, so we will form the antennae of the butterfly.
