Candlestick with paper roll

Candlestick with roll of white paper

We have already started the month of December and it is time to decorate our home with typical Christmas decorations on this bridge that we started today. Tradition marks that this bridge is the starting point to assemble the Christmas tree, the baby and decorate the entire property in keeping with Christmas.

Therefore, today we show you a very peculiar centerpiece that you can make with recycled materials and go around the house, such as felt, fabric scraps and a blank roll of paper. Thus, we can teach children that recycling is essential on these savings dates.

Materials

  • White or plain paper roll.
  • Green, orange, red and yellow felt fabric.
  • Patchwork of checkered fabric.
  • Thin piece of cardboard.
  • White cork.

Our Process

First, we will cut a cylinder on white cork a couple of centimeters more than the toilet paper roll.

We will place this on top of the cork and we will draw its outline and then cut the inside of the cork and insert it there. We will put a little white silicone inside the cork and we will introduce the roll of paper so that it stays glued.

Then we will cut a circle in thin cardboard a few millimeters more than the roll of toilet paper and on this we will stick 3 species of flames that we will have made before on the felt.

Then, we will circle the green felt of equal measure or, even greater, than the white cork and we will sew it by peeling its inner edge so that it is in this way.

Finally, we will glue this green felt on the cork and make a monkey with the piece of cloth and then stick it on the toilet paper roll. Ready, we already have our chandelier !.
