Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to make this beautiful butterfly with cardboard and crepe paper. It is perfect to do at any time with young children, especially in the face of the arrival of the cold and the reduction of the hours of sunlight.

Materials that we will need to make our butterfly
- Cardboard of the color you want for the body of the butterfly.
- Crepe paper of the color you want for the wings. The ideal is to mix two colors.
- Paper glue
- Crafts Eyes
- Scissors
- Black marker, preferably fine.
Hands on craft
- The first thing we are going to do is draw and cut out the body of the butterfly, let's do it as if it were some kind of caterpillar. We will also draw some antennas to cut them together with the body in one piece. Another option is to cut the antennas apart and then glue them to the body.
- We will take two pieces of crepe paper, one of each color. We will fold each piece like an accordion.
- We will glue the crepe paper to the body of the caterpillar in the middle. We will put one piece on top of the other to create the set of wings. We will open and shape them.
- We'll trim the wings a bit to shape them with the scissors. We will take into account that the top ones will be larger than the bottom ones. We must try that the end of the upper wings coincide with the upper part of the lower wings.
- We will glue the eyes of crafts to the body of the butterfly. If we don't, we can paint them with a marker or make them with black and white cardboard.
- We will paint the mouth with marker, we will put a big smile.
And ready! We already have a beautiful butterfly to decorate the room, play with it or give it to someone.
