Materials to make the Chinese hat
To make the Chinese hat we will need the following materials:
- Laminated cardboard.
- Liquid silicone.
- Satin ribbon.
- Scissors
- Ruler
If you can't find any of these materials, you can use others that are equally valid for the purpose of the craft. The cardboard does not need to be laminated and if you do not have liquid silicone, you can use any other adhesive.
Step by step to make a Chinese hat
To begin with, with the help of an adult to help us cut a circle of about 60 cm in diameter on the cardboard.
Then we will draw a line from the edge of the circle to the center, following its radius, so we will use the ruler to help.
On this line we will cut with the scissors and each side that is cut we will fix it with liquid silicone. What you have to do to get the hat is a wide cone with the edge of the sides cut off.
Then we will take the satin ribbon and with it we will make a braid and glue it in the center of the hat, and if we want we can add a bow at the end of the braid, as another decorative accessory. And that's it! You already have an authentic oriental hat!
