Bookmarks or bookmarks is the name used to define the objects that help us to mark the point in the book where we are reading. There are a thousand different models and with imagination you can make some very original ones. In this post I am going to teach you how to make these with eva rubber and buttons that are so striking.
Materials to make the bookmarks
- Colored eva rubber
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Buttons
- Circle eva rubber punch
- Flowers or any shiny decorations
Bookmark making process
- Cut out two strips of eva rubber with the measurements that you put in the image. I have combined a white eva rubber with another printed one, but you can choose the designs that you like the most or have at home.
- Glue the small piece on top of the large piece and place it slightly downwards so that you can leave a greater margin at the top and be able to make the hole later.
- Punch 5 circles of different shades of eva rubber with the hole punch and once they are well distributed throughout the printed strip, glue them.
- Have the trimmings with which we are going to embellish the bookmark. I have chosen buttons and flowers. You can combine the colors as you like, but if they are from the same color range they will match much better.
- Once you put them on, glue them so they don't fall off.
- Using a hole punch, make one on top of the bookmark.
- Place a string inside the hole, tape or similar to be able to place it in the book and that it does not fall.
- As you can see, I have made another design in red and pink tones that is also very good, it is a matter of letting your imagination fly.
