Children's purse with snap and decorations

Children's purse

Hello everybody. Today I want to show you how to make a precious children's coin purse with snap.

We can use different materials: fabric, eva rubber, recycled fabric, etc. I have used felt to make a children's purse with snap.

Snaps are snaps that are applied with a snaps plier, which is a tool that we can shop at any craft supply store or DIY.

Materials

  • Paper sheets, marker, ruler.
  • Felt, fabrics, or material that we choose.
  • Scissors.
  • Threads and needles.
  • Embroidery thread.
  • Glue.
  • Snaps and plier for snaps.
  • Decorative elements that we choose.

Procedure to make the children's purse

The first thing I did was draw the pattern of the purse on paper, then go over it with a marker and cut it out. One trick I use very often with small patterns is to fold it in half and trim it on one side only to get a uniform and even pattern on both sides.

When I had the finished children's purse pattern, the next thing I did was hook it with pins to the felt to be able to cut it out, and when I had it securely fastened I cut it into the shape I wanted.

When I had the children's purse trimmed, I embroidered the lower edges and rounded them with a thread that matched the color of the felt I chose. Embroidered children's purse

The next thing I did was cut out decorative elements, I chose pieces of felt in different patterns and colors to decorate the children's purse, and I also chose some flower appliques that I sewed to finish the decoration of the children's purse.

To place the snap on the children's purse, what I did was decide before decorating it where I was going to put it. In the gallery you will see two purses, in one of them what I did was place the sanap and then sew a decorative heart on top.

In the second case, as I used a butterfly appliqué to decorate it, what I did was glue a part of the butterfly on top of the snap to hide it. So that the applique sticks well, I held it with clips until it was dry. It is not necessary to cover the snap if we do not want to.

In the event that we do not have snaps to put on our children's purse, we can replace them with a button or a zipper. I have chosen the snap because it is very practical for girls.

I hope you like my tutorial and that you put it into practice.
