How to make a polymer clay dove for Peace Day

In this tutorial I teach you how to model a polymer clay pigeon or Fimo to decorate any object thinking that January 30 is the Peace Day.

Materials

To make the paloma you will need to polymer clay. You can use the type of clay you want, the steps and shapes will be the same. For the pigeon that you can see in this tutorial I have used the following colors clay:

  • Blanco
  • Black
  • Orange
  • Aquamarine

Step by step

This clay pigeon It is very easy to model and it is perfect to do with the little ones at home or with the students in class. So let's see the followed to follow so that you too can learn to do it.

Let's start with the body. To do this you simply have to roll a piece of White clay to create a ball. Roll it well until it is wrinkle free.

To make the beak you need a very small piece of orange clay. Roll it to create a ball and then roll that ball back and forth on one side of the ball. ball and with the index finger, in this way it will only be sharpened on one side and you will create the shape of drop. Make two small balls of black clay to create the eyes, and when you have all those parts stick them on the body of the pigeon.

We are going to do the legs. You need two small balls of orange clay, roll them like the pickaxe to create two drops and glue them together on one side as you can see in the following images. Do the same with two other orange balls to create the other leg and glue them under the dove, placing the thickest part of the drops forward.

Do the alas in the same way as the legs, but with the difference is that they have to be with two larger pieces of clay and instead of gluing the drops You leave them separate from each other, flatten them a little with the palm of your hand and glue each one to one side of the dove, with the beak of the drop facing forward.

We only need to do the tail. Create again dropsIn this case, instead of two, you must make three and glue them together. Glue them to the back of the dove leaving the thick part of those drops facing up.

And in this way you will have finished your paloma to decorate any object, to carry as a keychain, to put on a pencil ... You can make several and change the feather color to have many different colors.
