Colored paper chain to make with children

It is an ideal craft for children over 6 years old because it includes cutting and pasting, although if it is done with younger children, there will be no problem as long as they receive the instructions, support and the necessary supervision to be able to carry out this easy, fast, beautiful and fun craft.

Materials you will need

  • 4 DINA-4 size papers each of a different color
  • 1 scissors
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 pencil
  • 1 ruler
  • Various small die cutters with shapes

How to make the craft

To do the craft, you will realize how simple it is.  Take the colored papers and with the ruler draw several lines with the pencil. Leave a separation of about 5 cm between line and line so that it has a suitable thickness. Do this as many times as you consider, depending on how long you want your chain to be. The more strips you have, the longer it will be.

When you have all the lines drawn cut them out. When you have all the colored strips cut out, take the small die-cutters with shapes and die-cut the strips as you see in the images for decorative purposes.

Then once you get to this point, you will only have to join the strips to create the chain and close them with the glue. You will have to repeat the process over and over again until you get the length that interests you for the colored paper chain. As you can see, it is simple and very beautiful. Kids will love seeing the finished result!
