In this craft we are going to teach you how to make some funny snails making use of some small pineapples. It is an original way to recreate these funny animals by giving them a touch of color with acrylic paint and animating them with a piece of drawn cardboard.
The materials I have used for four snails:
- 4 small pineapples
- Orange, blue, green and yellow acrylic paint
- A brush for painting
- A piece of cardboard
- Orange, blue, green and yellow pipe cleaners
- Tipex or white marker
- Plastic eyes
- A sheet
- A pen
- Scissors
- Hot silicone and her gun

First step:
We paint the pineapples with acrylic paint. We will paint each one a different color and we insist on coloring each nook of the pineapple well. We let dry the pineapples.
Second step:
We take a sheet of paper and place a pineapple on top. We are going to draw more or less and freehand what it would be the body of the snail. We will draw the head and the body. We cut out the figure that we have drawn.
Third step:
We take the figure cut out of paper and we will support it on a cardboard to be able to use it as a template. With a pencil we draw the outline of the paper and we already begin to draw it. We will make up to 4 bodies of the snails. We cut out the figures.
Fourth step:
We draw with the white marker or tipex the spots of different sizes in the lower part of the snail's body. We will also draw the mouths and some closed eyes with the pencil. Try to look at the photos how they are made so that they keep a funny smile.
Fifth step:
We mark what we have done with a pencil with the black marker. Some hollows of the smile we color them White and red. We place the plastic eyes in the areas where they are needed.
Step Six:
We are going to cut the part of the body or the tail of the snail making a thick line. We'll bend it down and it will be the base that serves us as support of the pineapples. We add a large amount of hot silicone so that the body can be joined with the pineapple.
Seventh step:
We cut out some pieces of pipe cleaner that will be the horns of the snail. At one end of them we will roll it up to make the shape of the tip of the horn. We place the horns by sticking them with the hot silicone on the back of the head.
