This craft is very simple to do with children and once it is finished they can have a great time playing with their colored dragonfly with polo sticks. It is very simple to do, it does not require many materials and it is done quite quickly.
For younger children they will need adult supervision, especially since white glue needs to be handled and there are small parts. But do not miss any detail because the children will have a great time!
Materials you need for the craft
- 5 colored polo sticks (2 orange, 1 blue, 1 orange and 1 yellow)
- White glue
- 2 movable eyes
- 2 self-adhesive stars of the same color
How to make the craft
The craft is very simple to do as you will be able to see below. First you will have to take the blue, yellow and green polo sticks and put them one on top of the other but leaving a centimeter aside for each color, as you see in the images. Glue them with white glue.
Then take the orange pole sticks and put them as you see in the images and glue them with white glue. Then take the movable eyes and glue them with white glue. Once you have all of this done, You just have to take the self-adhesive stars and stick them as you see in the image.
Now you will have the colored dragonfly with polo sticks to make with children. You just have to wait for the white glue to dry so that the children can play with it. The colors are optional, these are the colors that we have chosen, but you can choose the colors of both the pole sticks and the self-adhesive stars that are easier for you, that is, that you have them at home ready to do the craft.
