Craft to discover and experiment with colors

Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to make a learning craft with which children can experiment with colors. It is very simple to do, it will take up very little time and children can benefit from discovering colors.

Do you want to know how you can make this craft?

Materials that we will need to make our craft

  • Toilet paper or kitchen paper. The more absorbent the better.
  • Markers of different colors.
  • A Chinese toothpick.

To put the craft into operation we will need:

  • A dish
  • Water
  • A pipette or something to pour water on the paper rolls

Hands on craft

You can see how to make this craft step by step in the following video:

  1. We cut pieces of paper. In case it is toilet paper with cut the squares already marking the paper will be enough. As many squares as colors. In the case of kitchen paper, each square can be divided into four, so as not to make the rollers too large.
  2. We paint lines of different colors on each one of the squares that we have obtained.
  3. With the help of the Chinese toothpick, we will roll up the squares, leaving the colored lines inside. If the roll does not stay well we can put a little glue, but very little, just enough to keep it rolled.
  4. We twist these rolls a little and put them on a plate. To discover the colors what we have to do is put water on each roll with the help of a pipette. With this we will achieve that the colors become much more intense and also that the paper moves, which attracts the attention of children.

And ready! We already have our craft to experiment with colors. We can make as many rolls as we want and repeat the craft as much as we want to discover the colors. We can also integrate the name of the colors.

I hope you cheer up and do this craft.
