Crafts for children: decorate a cardboard plate with a duck

Crafts for children: a duck on a cardboard plate

This adorable art uses a duck placed on a cardboard plate to make a project related to farm animals, birds, or also letters, and thus do themed crafts or just for fun.

Also, if holes are made in the place of the duck's eyes, this plate can be turned into a duck mask. Attach a string to the ends of the plate to allow the child to hold the mask at face level.

Necessary materials:

  • disposable plate
  • coloring paints (or color printer)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • paper
  • printer

Optional: You can substitute their big googly eyes for the eyes of the template.

Mask options: very fine thread or elastic to hold the mask on the face.

Instructions:

  • Print the drawing of your choice
  • Color (in each case) and cut the pieces of the chosen drawing. Most of the pieces are simple shapes that young children can cut themselves, but if necessary, an adult can help with some of the more difficult pieces.
  • Glue the pieces on the plate to begin to form the face of the chosen duck or animal
  • Glue the hair to the top center of the plate
  • Glue the one with the beak at the bottom
  • Glue the eyes above the beak
  • Glue the eyebrows over the eyes
  • If you make a mask, make two small holes in the right and left ends at a height that is about the middle of the plate, and pass the thread or elastic, and then go over the child's head and hold the mask.
