This craft that I have made has not been for its own sake. It was suggested to me by a friend, a lover of nature, plants and animals. And in honor of the times with climate change, I wanted to make it decorative. A branch that symbolizes a tree, which runs out of water, but tries to flower in spring with the last drop that remains. Taking advantage of this craft, Gaudí's trencadizo technique. So let's get to it, and you'll see how simple it is to do it.
Materials
- Wood strip
- Branch (take from one with many branches)
- Black and white paint
- Brush
- White glue
- Red eva rubber
- Scissors
Our Process
- First make a hole in the wooden slat, and the tip part of the branch is filed to match in size. Then is where you have to introduce it.
- Paint 2 coats of white paint to the wood strip.
- Paint the branch black. If you have a better spray, so that it is more uniform.
- Make sure that all the holes are painted without blemishes.
- Cut out polygonal chunks and irregular eva rubber.
- Then do the same, but cut little squares.
- Glue the polygonal pieces that you have cut out on the white ribbon. As you can see, it is only to make the pieces coincide, leaving a space between them. Of course, as they move away from the hole, it leaves more separation.
- Once dry, you can place the branch in the hole what have you done
- Place the squared pieces that you have trimmed with the tail at the ends of the twigs. Not in all of them, only in some so as not to load it and in a distributed way. I used tweezers to avoid staining my fingers and making my work difficult.
- And this is how it should fit you. Notice that I only did the ends, and not all of them.
I hope you liked it. It is a very inexpensive craft, and to decorate it is fantastic. Now I want the whole world to see it, hehehe.
