Hello everybody. Today I will show you how I have made one pretty decorative wreath.
For some time, decorative garlands have become a very fashionable accessory to decorate the rooms of babies and children. They are also a nice addition to birthday parties or special events.
In this tutorial I will show you how I have made a decorative garland using simple materials and in a very short time.
Materials
- Linen, raffia or colored thread.
- Buttons that you like.
- Bells, if you want.
- Colored beads.
- Scissors
Procedure I followed to make a decorative garland
In my case I have cut a thread 120 centimeters long, but the length may vary depending on where we are going to hang the decorative garland.
Then I tied a knot at one end leaving a loop to hang the garland, then I put a bead in the shape of a heart and tied a knot again.
The next thing is to start putting the buttons, what I have done is to pass the thread through one of the holes and then through the other and behind the button make a knot by pulling the thread guide down to continue with the garland.
When I had the button on, I left a space of about 15 centimeters and put a pink bell to match the buttons. This is optional, if you don't like bells you can put something else in its place like colored beads or just leave it with nothing.
I continued alternating buttons and bells until the length of the thread was completed, at the end I made a knot again and placed another bead in the shape of a heart like the first one and tied a knot so that it would not come off.
And so we have our garland finished, and we can hang it to decorate the place we choose or give it as a gift since it is a nice detail.
