Step by step
To make the decorative paper balls you can choose different shades or patterns for the paper that you are going to use, depending on the style and finish you want to give to the decoration. The important thing is that six leaves what do you need square. If not, cut them so that all four sides are equal.
Keep in mind that the larger the papers, the larger the decorative balls will be. So if you want to create many balls of different sizes, cut the papers of different sizes as well.
Fold the four corners to the center. You will have one square left. You must fold the four corners again and you will have a smaller square. Flip the sheet over and fold the four corners back to the center. That is, you must fold the corners three times.
Finally, fold the figure in two, in half.
Insert your fingers into the holes that have been left and put the tips together to create the shape. It will look like this.

Paste the shapes by the sides. The ends you just joined should face out. To make it easier for you, take one of the forms, and paste the others in each of their four sides. Go sticking the six ways until the ball is completed.
