In this post, we show you how custumize sandals with lace, but you can apply any other material on the sandals. Imagination and creativity is the only limit you will have when making this DIY.

Our Process
Before starting the customization of the sandals, we will choose what we want to transform them with. On this occasion, we have opted for a black lace so that they are easy to combine sandals, but you You can use materials as diverse as colored organzas, brocades, guipure, transparent plastics in psychedelic colors, etc.
As you can see, this craft can be made with countless materials that seek a new style for sandals. It is a perfect way to recycle sandals that can still be used and give them a more original second life.
Once we have chosen the sandals and lace that we are going to use, We will take the heat sealing gun and we will apply thermal glue along the entire strip of the sandals. We will fix the lace strip pressing hard so that it sticks well.
Another way to do this customization is by sewing the ribbon to the flip flops.. We have opted for glue because the strap of the sandals was really too thick to be easily sewn. If you have a sewing machine you can also do it with it in an easier and faster way.
