I come today with a very easy craft that you can do with children and it can be used for many things: making a card, a gift, a game ... It is a DIY scratch card. Where you can hide a secret message and to guess it you have to scratch.
In this case I have used them to make the Advent calendar for this year and they are to make a game and that each day I can choose between two to see what surprise comes out. If you want to see how it is done I show you the step by step:
Makings:
To carry out this scratchcard we will need the following materials:
- Color cardboard.
- Ballpoint.
- Candle.
- Gray acrylic paint.
- Dishwasher.
- Brush.
- Scissors
Processing:
We start by making the card: for this we will cut a rectangle of seven by fourteen centimeters. we will draw two circles, helping us with a glass (in my case, it can be with a compass, with a printer, or with any round object that we have at home). Then we will write the message that we want to hide each one in his circle.
The next step is rub a candle over the written message, inside the circle. You can also do it with a white wax, but it looks better with the candle when scratching it.
Now, we prepare the paint mix and a few drops of dishwasher, mixing well. You can use metallic paint, or any other color, the only thing to keep in mind is that it is opaque and covers the written message well, so that it covers well.
We will apply the paint inside the circle covering well what we have written. Then you have to let it dry, at least two hours.
Finally with a coin we will scratch the one we like the most and we will discover the secret message.
