In this craft we will learn in a simple way how we have to recycle plastic or cardboard plates to make a nice one Easter Bunny. We have to join several pieces and we will leave a gap to be able to finally fill it with treats. It will be a quick and easy job to do that can even be done with children. The only thing you need to do is a little care when handling hot silicone to avoid burning yourself. If you want to know more about this craft you can watch the video with all its steps.
The materials that I have used are:
- A flat white cardboard or plastic plate
- A white plastic or cardboard bowl that fits inside the plant
- Hot silicone and her gun
- Blue card
- Decorative cardboard with some pattern
- Two big plastic eyes
- Two red pipe cleaners
- A small blue pompom
- Scissors
- Candies

First step:
We take the bowl and we remove all the edges with scissors, so it can fit much better on the plate. On one edge of the bowl we cut out a quadrangular opening so that there can be a hole where we will put the sweets.
Second step:
We put hot silicone around the bowl, except in the part that we have left open. We place it and make it fit inside the plate.
Third step:
On a blue card we draw one of the ears of the rabbit and cut it out. With the ear cut out, we trace the same shape on the cardboard, to be able to have two ears that are identical in shape and size. We also cut it out.
Fourth step:
We take one of the ears again and place it on top of the stamped cardstock to make another tracing. This time it is to draw a smaller ear inside the tracing so that we can glue it inside. We will glue the two pieces of cardboard to form the entire ear. Now we need to place the ears on the top of the plate, for this we will glue them with silicone.
Fifth step:
We are going to cut the pipe cleaner into six equal pieces to form the mustache. We glue with silicone the whiskers, the pompom that will make the nose and the eyes. Finally when everything is dry and united we can fill the plate with the treats.
