Materials that we will need to make our butterfly
- A craft stick
- Two-color cardboard, you can also use another type of paper, that has gloss or is satin.
- Black marker and another color like green
- Wax, wood paint, or any other type of paint that adds a bit of color
- Glue
- Scissors
Hands on craft
- We take the craft stick and paint it on both sides, It does not have to be painted in a very strong color since wood provides color by itself, so we will use waxes or wooden pencil paints instead of markers.
- We draw and cut out two wings on cardboard of one color and two other wings in another color, the latter larger. They should also be the ones with the strongest or brightest color.
- We decorate the wings with dots and with the scraps of cardboard from cutting the wings. You can be as creative as you want in this case, drawing, sticking colored cards, sticking glitter, etc. But yes, remember that the wings are as symmetrical as possible on both sides.
- We glue the wings to the craft stick and finish decorating the butterfly cutting out and gluing some antennae, painting a smiling face and making lines like a worm since that's what butterflies are.
