Water lilies they are super pretty and delicate flowers. In this post I am going to teach you how to make them with eva rubber in an easy and fast way.
Materials to make the water lilies
- Colored eva rubber
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pipe cleaner
- Permanent markers
Procedure for making water lilies
To start you need a piece of green eva rubber that will become the water lily leaf.
- In pencil, draw an oval shape that looks like a leaf. It does not have to be perfect.
- Cut out the leaf very carefully.
- With green and yellow permanent markers I'm going to do sheet details of the water lily.
- I will start by reviewing the outline and then I will do the ribs using both markers to make the tones more complete.
- To give the leaf the curly shape, I will twist the entire contour with my fingers.
- For the inside of the water lily cut a strip of pink eva rubber of approximately 20 cm x 4 cm.
- Go making peaks throughout the entire piece as you see in the photo.
- Roll the strip slowly and you will get the central part of our flower.
- Take a piece of yellow pipe cleaner and fold it in half.
- Insert it in the center of the water lily and stick it with a little silicone.
- You can help with your fingers to open the flower.
- Now I will do the same but with a strip of white eva rubber of about 40x7 inch approx.
- To join the two I will put a little glue and I will roll the white one on the pink piece. At the end I will put a drop of adhesive to prevent the flower from opening.
- With my hands I will open the petals of the water lily again.
- Now we only have stick the water lily on top of the leaf so that the set is completely finished.
And that's how easy we have this beautiful flower at our fingertips.
