Easy origami penguin

Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to make another easy origami figure. This time we are going to do a full-length penguin. Origami is a great way to stay entertained for a while in the afternoons of this holiday and, in addition, it is ideal for exercising your mind and hands making it an activity for anyone regardless of age.

Do you want to know how you can make this origami figure?

Materials that we will need to make our penguin

Origami paper or plain paper as long as it can be handled and folded without difficulty.

Black marker to draw the details of the penguin, such as the eyes.

Hands on craft

You can see how to do this craft step by step in the following video:

  • The first thing to do the origami penguin is to make the base shape from which we are going to start the figure. In this case we are going to start making a square and cutting the excess.
  • Then we are going to fold the square in half, forming a triangle and we will reopen it. We will put it in the shape of a rhombus and we are going to fold two of the sides forming two more triangles.
  • We will also bend the tips of these triangles to make the wing tips.
  • We fold the figure in half, leaving the wings out. We arrange the figure with the short part down. We bend to form the head and also to make the chest.
  • We bend the tip of the head to make the beak. You can see how to do it in the video.
  • To finish we will draw two eyes.

And ready! We already have our new origami ready. We recommend you take a look at the other figures in the easy animal origami series.

I hope you cheer up and do this craft.
