Today we will learn to do crafts with eva rubber, also called foam or foamy. It is a foamy material that we will find in a multitude of colors, it is used above all as material for school crafts because it is very easy to use. It is non-toxic, can be cut, glued, painted, heat molded, and is recyclable.
We are going to proceed to make some pretty eva rubber flowers that will help us to decorate whatever we want because they are always very lucid.
Necessary materials:
- A foam sheet of the color that we like
- Scissors
- Strong liquid glue
Process:
We take the sheet and cut it in half horizontally so that we get two elongated stripes. With each one we can make a flower, so for now we only need one of the pieces. We fold the piece horizontally so that it is even narrower and we glue it at the two ends that meet, but not completely.
Next, we have to make cuts with the scissors creating pieces of approximately one centimeter wide. We cut from the part that is not glued and we do not carry the cut to the end, we only cut half a strip.
Then we screw the entire foam strip on itself making a kind of flower bud and at the same time we glue the part where there are no petals so that it stays rolled up.
We already have the bud of our flower, now we only have to press it down with our hand so that the flower opens.
We already have our finished flower, we can paint it a little, make it a stem or whatever we want.
