We have chosen to create an ugly but nice monster. This means that it is not very pretty but that it awakens a certain tenderness when you see it.
A key ring is very useful and is ideal for the first keys of teenagers, to decorate in the school backpack or for any other use that you want to give the key ring. It takes a long time to do it and it also requires sewing, so this craft is not suitable for the little ones. It is better to do it with children over 12 years old and with enough skill when making crafts.
What do you need for the craft
- Felt of the colors that your monster is going to make
- Marker to draw the shape on the felt
- Sewing threads
- Sewing needle
- Stuffing for the monster
- Key ring
- Buttons (optional for eyes)
What you have to do
First you will have to create the shape of the monster on the felt and draw it with a marker. R then cut out two equal parts that will make up the body. The body of our monster is black.
Then we sewed the red buttons in the shape of eyes and made the mouth with more colored felt and we also sewed them to the felt. In this case we chose white and pink. We also sew some small eyebrows on it. Then with another piece of felt we create a heart and the part where the ring will go (which we will put on the head of the sewn world).
Once we have all these parts done, we begin to sew the doll by making small stitches together to close the doll and leave a hole on the side.
Once everything has been sewn, the filling is put on the side and sewn to leave the doll well closed. Once everything is sewn (also the top part where the ring will go), the ring is put on.
