FIMO butterfly pendant

mariposa

If you like to do DIY details to give at Christmas you will surely love this tutorial. In it, we will work with polymer clay (FIMO) material that, if you follow us regularly, you will have seen in several previous posts and that is used to create and shape a multitude of objects.

In this post, we will show you how to make this fantastic butterfly pendant so original.

Materials

  1. Polymer clay (FIMO, Sculpey, Premo, Kato, ...)
  2. A cutter or box cutter.
  3. A paper.
  4. Ballpoint.
  5. Chain.

Our Process

First we will draw a butterfly on a sheet of paper Or, if we are not good at drawing, we will find a drawing on the Internet and print it. Next, we will cut out the template and put it on the polymer clay already stretched. We will resect the drawing with the cutter shaping the butterfly pendant.

In this pendant we have added a piece of wing of another color to create contrast. To do this, it will be enough to cut a section and with the template make that piece in another color.

If we have cutters for polymer clay or for pastry we can use them to make the internal holes of the wings, if this is not the case, they can also be done with a cutter (and a lot of patience). Then, we will add the piece of wing of another color and we will only need to pass the chain of the pendant through one of the holes.

Until the next DIY!
