How to make a koala out of Fimo or polymer clay

In this tutorial I show you how to create a fimo koala o polymer clay step by step so you can do it yourself.

Materials

To make the koala you will need to polymer clay such as Fimo, for example. You can use the one you want, air drying or baking, as you prefer.

The colors that you are going to need will be the following:

• Grey
• Black
• Brown
• Meat color
• Blanco

Step by step

Let's start doing the fimo koala awarded by the cabeza.

Head

1. Create a gray ball.
2. Flatten it a little with the palm of your hand.

Now put the ears.

3. Create two gray balls.
4. Crush the balls.
5. Mark two small stripes on one side with a knife to each of their ears.

6. Create two smaller, flesh-colored balls.
7. Crush the balls.
8. Glue them over the ears.
9. Smash some more.

10. You can now put the ears of the koala. Glue them one on one side and one on the other side, leaving the line marks on the outside.

Do the nose.

11. Create a brown ball.
12. Roll it on one side to stretch it out and create a slightly long drop shape.
13. Flatten it a little with the palm of your hand.
14. Glue it in the center of the koala's head with the beak of the drop facing up, and the widest part facing down.

The head is only missing the eyes.

15. Puncture with an awl where the eyes will go to make some holes so that they are not so bulging.
16. Create two black balls.
17. Glue the balls into the holes in the face you just made.
18. You can put two smaller white balls to mimic the brightness of the eyes.

The head is already finished, so let's go for the body.

The Body

1. Create a gray ball slightly smaller than the head.
2. Roll the ball on one side so that it stretches a bit and creates the shape of a drop.
3. Smash that drop a bit with the palm of your hand.

4. Create a flesh-colored ball for the belly.
5. Stretch it a bit to make a short line.
6. Smash it.
7. Stick it to the body you just made.

8. You can now glue the body to the head.

9. Create two gray balls for the top legs.
10. Roll them on one side to make the drops.
11. Glue them to the body with the wide part towards the center.

12. Create two more balls for the bottom legs.
13. This time instead of drops, make two small lines.
14. Paste them at the bottom.

And that's the result our fimo koala. You can add a key chain and take it everywhere.
