In this tutorial I teach you how to create a pendant of Fimo o clay with spiral. The best thing is that you can choose the colors of the clay and thus make many and totally personalized.
Materials
To make the pendant you will need the following materials:
- Fimo or polymer clay: any type works for you. Pick two colors to match.
- Wire: I have used green wire, you have many colors so you can combine it with the clay.
- Pliers
- Cord
- Clay knife
- Scissors
- Hanging hook
- Ring
Step by step
To perform the fimo pendant the first thing you will need is to prepare the clay.
- Mix the colors you have chosen, but not completely, let the betas of the two colors show.
- Then roll the mixture into a ball and flatten it with the palm of your hand.
- Prepare your wire.
- With the help of pliers, bend it to form a spiral.
- Cut off the excess wire.
- Lay the wire coil over the flattened ball of clay that you made at the beginning.
- Squeeze so the wire goes well into the clay.
- Cut the excess with a knife.
- You must have a hook to start mounting your pendant.
- Poke it into the clay where the wire ends.
- You will also need a ring to later be able to hook the rope of the pendant.
- Attach the ring to the hook you just poked into the clay.
- Cut a piece of cord or rope a little larger than you want your pendant, since tying it will shorten its size.
- Pass the cord through the ring that you just joined.
When the clay is dry you can use your new fimo pendant, completely personalized and made by yourself. And this would be the result.
Remember that if you use a polymer clay from baking You must bake it after piercing the hook because if you do it before you will not be able to insert it when the clay is hard.
