Flower made with eva rubber

How did you spend the weekend? I hope very well and that you have started Monday with a lot of energy, as much as we do, that in CraftsOn we bring you new posts throughout the week to inspire you.

We will start the week with an easy tutorial that you can apply to a multitude of tasks that you do with the Eva rubber. In this tutorial, we will show you how model the eva foam to make a flower.

Material

  1. Eva rubber.
  2. Heat gun or iron.
  3. Pastry molds.
  4. A pencil.
  5. Scissors.
  6. Colored ink.

Our Process

We will use the pastry molds, of three different sizes, to give the eva rubber flower shape. We will take a pencil to mark the shape of the pastry mold.

As the pastry molds are not very marked, we will make them a little more shaped to mark the flower petals more. Later, we will cut out the three petal circles of different size.

flor3

Once we have them cut, we will shape them. For this, we will use the heat from the heat gun or an iron. To make the flower, we have used the tip of the heat gun, since, being smaller, we can shape it more easily.

We will heat petal by petal and with our fingers we will shape it upwards. To make it look good, just mold it with your thumb and forefinger. You will see that it is really easy to model the eva rubber and that it sets right away.

Once we have all the petals defined, we will hook the three petal surfaces one on top of the other.

flor5

To finish, we can also use stamp inks to give the flower a gradient of pink and lilac tones. To do this, it will be enough to use a piece of the excess eva rubber as a sponge and spread the colors on the flower until they are according to the idea we have in mind. For example, in this case, we have opted for a dark center and gradually fade towards a lighter color on the petals.

Until the next DIY!
