Goose feather anklet

anklet

Last year overshoes became fashionable, And this year it also seems that in the fall we will see them again appear in the fashion of the next season. Following that trend, this year, we have also seen sandals that had incorporated a kind of boot covers made with feathers. At Crafts ON, we have taken this trend, and we have created a feather anklet that we can use as boot covers.

A very easy DIY, which you can use both for anklet, as for a bracelet or even to decorate a costume now that there is little more than a month left for Halloween.

Material

  1. Colored goose feathers.
  2. A ribbon.
  3. A metal closure.
  4. Textile glue.

Our Process

anklet (Copy)

We will take an amount of enough feathers to cover our ankle and a strap that will act as an anklet. Then, we will apply textile glue on the tape and we will hook the feathers one by one. We will hook them leaving a small part above the tape that we will later cut. As we see in the second photograph.

Then we will cut the upper part of the feathers along the edge of the ribbon. Then we will cut the tape to the size of our ankle and we will put a metal closure or we will simply tie it to our ankle.

Until the next DIY!
