Materials that we are going to need to make our headband with pompom ears
- Two-color wool
- Scissors
- Cardboard or eva rubber
- Peine
- A plain headband, in a color that matches the wool or that is similar to the hair color of the person who is going to wear it.
Hands on craft
- The first of all is to see what color we prefer for the outer part of the ear and which one on the inside. You can vary with the colors as much as you want, that is to your liking.
- Cut two half arches out of cardboard.
- Once we are clear about what color we want in each part of the pompom, We begin to make the pompom, putting a piece of wool of the outer color between the two pieces of cardboard and first rolling the color we want in the inner area of the pompom and then, on top of that color, we roll the other color, When it is rolled we cut on the side that the ends of the cardboard do not fall and we tie on the opposite side. It is important to leave the ends of the pompom knot long so that it can be tied to the headband later.
- Now we comb to undo the wool and we touch up the pompoms with the scissors so that they are somewhat flatter at the front and more round at the back. You can also give it a certain pointed shape from above.
- Now we tie the two pompoms to the headband in a position that reminds the ears of some animal such as a mouse and we cut the excess of the knot or we comb it to integrate them with the rest of the pompom.
And ready! We can only put the headband on our head and enjoy our fluffy ears.
