Pink (Copy)

On April 23, the celebration of the Sant Jordi Day takes place in Catalonia. Day, in which, books and roses are given. In craftsOn, we are going to show you a very easy way to make a rose with Fimo to use as a ring, earrings, brooch, pendant, fridge magnet, or any accessory you can think of to make with the rose.

Then you will see how in less than five minutes we can make a lot of these beautiful roses and give them away or use them to make a more elaborate DIY project.

Material

  1. FIMO, polymer clay, air drying paste, clay or any other modeling paste that hardens.
  2. A circular cutter.
  3. A glass or a bottle.

Our Process

To begin with we will smooth the FIMO paste with a glass or a bottle. Then with the circular cutter we will cut circles which will later be the petals of the rose.

Once we have all the circles cut, we will remove the rest of the FIMO paste and proceed to ride the rose. On this occasion, the rose will be mounted with six circles, but you can make it with more circles. It depends on how you like it.

To mount the rose, we will superimpose one circle on another as we see in the photograph, as if it were a kind of little worm.

We will be folding the little worm that we have created with the circles on itself until everything is folded.

Later, we will mold one of the two sides to be the part of the stem of the rose.

And to finish, with a cane or with our fingers, we will open the petals a little so that the rose is more beautiful. Once the rose is finished, we will proceed to bake it. As always, we will put the FIMO paste in the oven at 130º for 15 minutes.

I hope it is useful and Until the next DIY!
