How to make fish with recycled CDs and crepe paper

Crafts to decorate music CDs

Practically almost all the objects that we can get rid of, we could give them a second chance for a new use. An example of them would be CD's, which as a decorative element work very well due to their reflection effects that tend to be striking and beautiful. And for that very reason today, I wanted to give you this new opportunity, turning the CD's into a couple of fish to decorate. Full of color, joy and sympathy. It is a very simple craft to do, which will only take about 20-25 minutes. I show you how I did it!

Quick-to-make craft supplies

Materials

  • 2 CD's
  • Two color crepe paper
  • Permanent marker (preferably black)
  • White paint
  • Brush
  • Scissors
  • Zeal

Our Process

Craft fishes using CD's

  1. Take the permanent marker to draw the flakes on the reflective part of the CD. You can draw them irregularly or not. I have made both, one making them more aligned, and the other following the contour of the CD quite a bit. This way you can appreciate the difference. It goes to personal taste in the end.
  2. With the help of the brush paint two circles white. If you prefer, you can use some plastic eyes and glue them. It is optional of course, but I did it that way in part because the ones I had are small.

Simple crafts to do with materials that we find at home

  1. Cut five pieces from the crepe paper. Two with fin shapes for the top and bottom. Then a rear fin and what will be the mouth of the little fish. Finally, a looser rectangle, almost as wide as the CD.
  2. With the help of the scissors, cut 5 pieces of tape to stick what you have cut out, as can be seen in the second image. The rectangle, if you have a part left, you can cut it out. Of course, before placing it, make folds.
  3. Finally, now that the paint is dry, take the marker and draw the eye your little fish!

Repeating the same process for the other, you will have your fish pair ready! I hope you liked this craft, and don't forget that you can subscribe to the blog!
