How to make pompoms

POM POM

In this craft I bring you a decorative detail for a signature table. Let's see how to make pompoms to decorate and set a party.

With them we can decorate a signature table or a sweet table for any event and if we place several of different sizes hanging on a thread we can set any corner, they are very showy. So let's go with the step by step:

Makings:

  • Crepe paper.
  • Hilo.
  • Scissors.

Processing:

The creative process of this craft is very simple in just a few steps our pompom will be made with a surprising result:

POMPOM1

  • We cut eight squares about eight inches on a side. It can be any size we want, bigger and smaller to make a composition.
  • We fold all the joined leaves into a fan shape making the doubles of about two centimeters.

POMPOM2

  • We will make a bundle with the thread in the center, so that it is united, we will have a bow tie shape. If we leave it a long end, it can be used to hang it from there to the ceiling or to another surface and make a composition, if what we want is to leave it on the table or the floor, we will cut the end at the level of the knot that we have made.
  • We will cut the two ends giving it a circular or pointed shape. As we like it the most.

POMPOM3

  • We will be lifting layer by layer separating the different layers from each other.
  • We will do the same for the other side, until we separate all the layers, thus remaining a circular pompom shape.

POMPOM4

We can also make this craft with another paper such as silk and use the colors that we combine in our party and even use several colored papers to make the same pompom, it will be very striking.

I hope you liked it and that you put it into practice, you can share it on your social networks and for any questions I will be happy to answer you. See you at the next craft.
