How to pass a phrase to a rubber stamp

rubber-stamp0

Hi friends! The post that we propose today is a tutorial to make a stamp with an eraser. Surely you have already seen a tutorial in crafts ON about this type of stamps and we really like them and they are very useful. In this post, we will explain specifically how to record a phrase in it.

As always, remind you that this proposal is our idea and that, we hope that from it inspiration will lead you to create wonderful stamps that you can use in, for example, your works of scrapbook or for gift tags.

Material

  1. Una eraser.
  2. Un cutter or several, depending on the size at which we work.
  3. Stamp ink.
  4. A sheet and a pencil.

Our Process

The first thing we will do is write the phrase that we want to transfer to the stamp on a sheet of paper. Thus, it will be easier for us to visualize how we should write the sentence on the rubber.

Then we will have to write the phrase backwards on the rubber, that is, as if we were seeing it in a mirror.

Then We will take a cutter and proceed to remove the excess rubber pieces. To make our work easier, I recommend that you first remove the larger pieces and, from there, begin to outline the letters.

To outline the letters, use the smallest cutter you have as it will make the task much easier. Once all the letters have been outlined, with the tip of the cutter making a circle we will cut the inside of the letters.

And we will have the stamp ready that we can apply to any surface giving it a more personal touch.

As an additional idea, if you don't have stamp ink, you can always use watercolor applied with a brush on the stamp. It is the same as stamp ink and is considerably cheaper.

Until the next DIY!
