Learn how to make a dreamcatcher

Here is a small tutorial on how to make an original and easy dreamcatcher. It is not necessary to have very complex materials to obtain. It will simply take you a little practice to have to weave the web, because although it seems very messy, you only have to follow a few small steps and it will not be really tedious.

Enjoy doing it, because it will be much easier than it seems and how you can combine the colors and the feathers to your liking. Another idea is that it will turn out to be quite decorative for the children's room.

You can see the step by step of this tutorial in the following video:

These are the materials that I have used:

  • A wire.
  • Colored wool.
  • Wooden beads.
  • Colourful feathers.
  • Decorative pom poms.
  • Decorative jingle bells.
  • A marker to mark.
  • Scissors.
  • Silicone type glue.

First step:

We cut the wire to the size that we want the dreamcatcher to be. We give round shape and we bend their ends so that they can be anchored one with another. We catch the money and we wrap it around the wire.

Second step:

We totally wrap the wire with the wool and we finish by knotting its ends.

Third step:

Let mark with the marker strategically eight points. To make them equal, we mark four points in the shape of a cross. The other four points have to go in the middle of the other marked points. At these points we will go knotting the wool (of a different color) that is going to be made The spiderweb.

Fourth step:

This is how we will knot the wool.

Fifth step:

We keep passing the thread in the middle of the sides that we have formed with wool. This time they will not be knotted.

Step Six:

We give all possible laps until form completely The spiderweb. The final part we knot it and we cut the excess part of the wool.

Seventh step:

To make the hanging threads I have knotted three threads of wool and I have braided. At the end I have added a wooden bead and I have knotted it. I have decorated the cobweb with the pompoms sticking them with the glue-silicone.

Eighth step:

I have also pasted feathers with the glue-silicone inserting it into the wooden bead. I have finally placed some jingle bells knotting them with thread. Now you just have to place another piece of wool on the top to be able to hang it. Enjoy it.
