The houses of gnomes, fairies or elves they have always been my favorites in children's stories and tales. They have magic in every corner and the boys and girls have imagined having one to live in. In this post I am going to show you how to make this little house of cardboard toilet paper rolls That you can use as a candy box, to store things or simply for decoration.
Materials to make the gnome house
- Rolls of toilet paper
- Colored folios
- Colored eva rubber
- Glue
- Scissors
- Eva rubber flower and circle hole puncher
- A CD
- Pinking scissors
- Ruler
- Colored markers
Gnome house making process
- Measure the length of the cardboard roll with the ruler and cut out a strip that covers the entire piece.
- Then put some glue stick on and glue the paper strip carefully so that it is straight.
- With the help of the cd draw a circle on the red sheet and cut it out.
- Cut out a quarter of the red circle to be able to form the roof of the house.
- Paste one end over the other as you see in the image and that's it we will have the roof of our little house, match the edges well.
- With the hole punch white folio circles I'm going to make some circles to decorate the roof and make it look like a mushroom.
- Stick them carefully.
- Take the cd again and cut out a circle in green eva rubber with the help of pinking scissors so that the edges are in waves, but if you don't have them, nothing happens, you can do it with normal scissors.
- With the flower hole punch make a few and stick them around the green circle, well distributed.
- You can make it a point with red marker in the center to make them more beautiful.
- To form the window, cut thin strips of black eva rubber and glue them as you see in the photo, then cut out what is left over and we will have the window ready.
- Cut out a rectangle in brown eva rubber that will be the door, you can make details with brown marker.
- Once we have the door and the window, We will stick them on the body of the house.
- We are done, we would only stay glue the roof on top of the facade and ready!! I recommend that you do not glue the lower part of the house to the green part because that way you can lift it and keep things inside such as trinkets, rings, materials or whatever you want.
