In this craft we have made a cat out of colored paper, but if you prefer you can do it with another animal, such as a fish or a rabbit. This craft is ideal to do with children who have enough capacity to cut and paste.
It is a very easy craft and it will be very beautiful once it is finished. It can even be great for making a fun card. Or you can also later put it in a box to hang it in your home decoration. Next we are going to tell you how to make this easy and beautiful craft.
Materials to make the craft
- Colored papal
- 2 sheets dina-4 white
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Glue
- 2 movable eyes
- Black marker
How to make the craft
First of all, choose one of the colored papers and begin to make horizontal stripes that occupy the entire DINA-4 sheet.
Then put the sheet with the horizontal stripes on top of all the other colors and so you can cut all the papers at the same time and have many strips of different colors as you can see in the picture.
On a white DINA-4 paper, draw the silhouette of the animal you have chosen. In our case we have chosen the silhouette of a cat. Then cut out in such a way that the silhouette is empty as you see in the image.
On another separate white sheet, begin to glue the colored strips one under the other, so that there are no white spaces between one and the other. Once you have all the strips glued, discard the excess ones and take the silhouette of the cat. Put glue on the part where it will be stuck on top of the colored papers and stick it on top.
Next glue the movable eyes and draw the cat's nose and mouth. You have already made your cat of colored paper!
