In this tutorial I teach you to easily create a nordic style christmas star with wooden sticks and jute rope. This style is very fashionable and the star will look great in any room.
Materials
To create the nordic style christmas star you will need the following materials:
- 5 wooden sticks
- Jute rope
- Gun silicone
- Gold acrylic paint
- Scissors
Step by step
To make the nordic style christmas star you must start by creating the structure. For this you will need the wood sticks, which in total will be five, since we are going to create a five pointed star.
You must join each stick together at the tip to create the shape of the star. First make a reverse V, then place one of the sticks horizontally forming an A, and finally join the loose stitches crossing the sticks.
Now that you have the form done, apply hot silicone in all joints to fix it well. Apply a good amount of silicone to make sure the sticks are set well.
Let's cover it with the jute rope. Apply hot silicone again to one of the points of the star, and glue the end of the jute rope to it. From there you must first roll up that tip of the star, and little by little you go down, passing the rope from one end to the other.
Keep covering all the ends with the jute rope in the same way. When you are done with the tips, do the same with the center of the star. Run the rope from one side to the other until it is completely covered.
Once you have the star covered with the jute rope, tie the end of the rope so that it does not escape. To give it a more Christmas touch, apply gold acrylic paint. Dip your fingers in the paint and apply it by rubbing the star with them, in this way there will be very soft touches in golden tones.
