Making cushions is a simple handicraft that will allow you to give your old furniture a new style and above all greater comfort, so today we are going to give you instructions so that you can learn how to make new ones owl shaped cushions for your decoration and enjoyment.
Makings:
- Printed fabric in the color of your choice
- Felt of 2 or more colors
- Sewing machine
- Needle
- Hilo
- Scissors
- Filling for cushions
Preparation:
- Step 1:
With the scissors cut the patterned fabric using a template with this shape (if you wish you can print it in the size you want to use as a pattern to cut the fabric)
- Step 2:
Cut a piece of fabric again with the template but this time without cutting the 2 circular spaces, this piece will be the back of the cushion.
- Step 3:
With the scissors, make several pieces of felt taking into consideration the size of the patterned fabric holes, you must make with them the beak (a triangle or rhombus of felt) and the eyes (2 circles of one color, 2 circles of another color and if you want two pieces for the eyelids)
- Step 4:
The time has come to integrate the eyes and the beak to the patterned fabric, you must sew these pieces together and then to the patterned fabric in the appropriate space for it.
- Step 5:
Sew both pieces of the cushion, the face and the back, leaving one of the four sides without sewing to put the filling.
- Step 6:
Fill the cushion and finish closing it.
