In today's craft we will make some fun cactus made of cardboard and with bright colors. They are very original and they like a lot at first sight so children will love them. They will have their own support in the form of a pot and we will form a hole so that we can fill it with candies. It is a craft that you can do with children and how you always have a demonstration video so that you can see how it is done step by step.
The materials that I have used to make a cactus are:
- 1 bright green A4 card stock
- a piece of pink card to make the flower
- half yellow A4 size card
- half cardboard or decorative A4 size folio
- a compass
- a pencil
- a rule
- glue type glue or hot silicone
- a brush to spread the tail

First step:
On the yellow cardboard we are going to draw, with the help of a compass, a 7 cm diameter circle. Using the same center we draw another 9 cm circle. We cut out the larger circle leaving the center one marked. We cut transverse lines from the outside to the center without exceeding the marked line of the inner circle.
Second step:
The little tabs that we have trimmed we fold them inwards. We will print them glue to be able to stick a strip of paper around it. This strip will have a height of about 8 cm and long the same as the periphery of the circle. We wrap the paper around and we paste the glued parts on its walls, we will do it on half the paper.
Third step:
On the other hand, let's go drawing the cactus leaves. We fold a sheet of paper in half and on the part that is folded we draw half of a cactus leaf. In this way, when unfolding the sheet, we have a perfectly homogeneous sheet. We trace the sheet on the green cardboard, we have to get about 9 sheets. We cut them out. Then we have to fold them all in half.
Fourth step:
We have to glue on each side of the sheet to be able to stick it with the other side of the sheet. In this way we will form the structure of the cactus. When we have everything together, we check that the entire structure does not stick in one piece, but that only the parts that have to be joined remain glued. We glue at the base of the cactus and we glued it inside the structure that we had made in the shape of a pot.
Fifth step:
We are going to make the flowers. We train a square with the pink cardboard and we fold it in half. With the opening of the fold up, we fold the paper to the left again. Again we bend it but down and to the left. In the part of the corner that has the most folds made, we draw an elongated leaf. All this set we have to cut it by the part we have drawn, so when unfolding it we have to get the shape of the entire flower.
Step Six:
With the flower formed, we will check how the flower has been made. If you think that its petals need some touch-up, we will cut and shape its leaves. Then we will fold them towards the center to make the compact shape of the flower. We would only have to stick the flower on top of the cactus and fill it with candies.
