Garland for parties with crepe paper

wreath

Do you have a party to prepare soon? If so, surely this idea will come in handy for you, and if not, you can always remember it for when you need it.

In this post, we will create a wreath made with crepe paper. It is very easy to do and in a moment you will have it ready to decorate your party.

Materials

  1. Crepe paper, Cellophane paper, cardboard, EVA rubber or any other material that can be used to make the garland. We have chosen crepe paper.
  2. A tape or string.
  3. Glue contact.
  4. Scissors normal and if possible, with drawing.

Our Process

garland1 (Copy)

The scissors that you see in the first photograph are scissors with a drawing on the cutting profile. You can find them in specialized stationery stores or in some 'Chinese' that has stationery material. Below you will see a photograph of one of the cutting profiles so that you can see specifically the type of scissors they are.

Having said that, we will explain how to make the garland. The first thing we will do is cut rectangles of crepe paper of various colors.

garland2 (Copy)

Then we will glue the pieces of crepe paper to the string. To do this, we will put glue at one end of the rectangle and we will fold it leaving the string in the middle.

garland3 (Copy)

Once we have all the rectangles glued to the string of the garland, we will go to cut the crepe paper with the scissors. To make it as even as possible, you can use a ruler and measure the distance between cut and cut.

If you do not have scissors with this type of cut, you can always make the cuts with normal scissors making zigzag or you can also make simple straight cuts.

Until the next DIY!
