Plastimake, the plastic that you can model

plastimake

We have recently discovered a new material that will help us to make any creation: the Plastimake. The Plastimake is a plastic, created in Australia, that you can shape with your hands to create any type of object. In addition, Plastimake is non-toxic, biodegradable and very resistant once it hardens.

To use this material it is necessary to put it in hot water (about 60ºC), this will make it moldable to work with. Afterwards, it will be enough to let it cool down to room temperature or to cool it, in a bowl with water and cubes, so that it hardens. The wonderful thing about this material is that we can reuse it as many times as we want.

How to use the Plastimake

To use Plastimake it is important to have two containers with water. One will contain hot water at 60ºC and the other cold water with cubes. Once we have the two containers ready, we will take the Plastimake bottle and pour the white balls of the product into the hot water.

As it is heated, the product becomes transparent. To remove it, it is best to use a fork. With it, we can go gathering the balls and joining them together to be able to remove them all at the same time. Once we have extracted the Plastimake from the water, we'll wait a few seconds for it to cool down a bit so as not to burn ourselves and then we can already model it as we want.

With Plastimake we can make countless objects: key rings, hangers, supports, figurines, costume jewelery, buttons, etc. In short, you can do anything you can think of and once modeled, it will be enough to cool your object in the container with cold water. What if you are wrong? If by bad luck you are wrong and you have cooled the figurine before time, nothing happens, it will be enough to put the Plastimake back in hot water and reshape it. Remember that practice makes perfect!

To dismiss the post, We leave you the link to the purchase page of plastimake and a small gallery of images of objects made with Plastimake.

Until the next post!
