In this tutorial I teach you to create a pom pom monster y polymer clay. They are very beautiful and we have thousands of possibilities to design them.
Materials
To make the pom pom monster you are going to need the following materials:
- Colored pompoms
- Polymer clay
- Glue gun
- Roller
- Clay knife and punch
- Beading balls
- Acrylic paint
- Brushes
Step by step
In the next video-tutorial I teach you to create the pom pom monster that you have seen on the cover. You can do it the same or choose the colors and shapes you want to make, but the video will serve as a guide to do it yourself.
Let's briefly review the followed that you should follow to create your own pom pom monster, for this we start with the different parts of the body:
Face
- Smooth out the light yellow clay and cut out a rectangle.
- Mark the eye holes and a few more holes for detail.
- Make two droplets with the white clay and glue them to the bottom of the rectangle to add the fangs.
- Using acrylic paint darker than skin color, paint the edges and details, smudging them with your finger.
Feet
- Roll two yellow balls down the center with your finger to create a "peanut."
- Squeeze them to shorten and flatten them flat.
- Mark some lines on it to create the lines of the feet.
- Make three balls for face foot and glue them as fingers.
- Paint the details with acrylic paint as you have done on the face.
Bow

If your clay is air dried, wait for it to dry, if it is baked, harden it in the oven following the manufacturer's instructions.
When you have finished all the parts, glue the pompoms together and join all the clay shapes to the body with silicone. Do not forget to add the eyes with the beads, and you will have finished your pom pom monster.
