Shooting star with popsicle sticks and eva rubber

In just over a month Christmas will arrive and the atmosphere is already beginning to be felt in the streets and in some homes. Many people want to decorate their home with Christmas decorations earlier and earlier because this way, they can enjoy more of that traditional decoration. Today we are going to make a shooting star out of polo sticks and EVA rubber. It is very simple.

Due to the materials it presents, it is a good idea to do it with children over six years of age or under the supervision of an adult. We hope you like this craft and you can put it into practice for decorating your home.

Materials you will need

  • 1 sheet of eva rubber
  • 3 polo sticks
  • 1 bottle of white glue
  • 2 movable eyes
  • 1 glitter color tempera (optional)
  • 1 brush (optional)
  • 1 pencil
  • 1 eraser

How to make the craft

The first thing you will have to do is draw a star to your liking on the EVA rubber sheet and then cut it out. Take the three pole sticks and at one end of each of them you put white glue and glue them as you see in the image so that they are like a shooting star tail.

Then take the two movable eyes and put them like funny eyes on the star. Next, take some fine black foam rubber and draw a small mouth for the star. Cut it out and glue it to the star.

In this way the star can already be finished and is still beautiful. We decided to put some glitter tempera to decorate it in a more festive way.

We add this color with glitter in all parts of the star. If you want to do this, you only have to do it at the end.

Then let it dry and you will have your shooting star ready!
