In this tutorial we teach you the value of recycling. For this we will make a box in the shape of a unicorn and we will teach you how to transform a box in the shape of a cube into an original and simple imitation. We will paint a box in the shape of a cube with acrylic paint, we will draw the face of a unicorn and we will learn to make decoration elements such as: eva rubber ears, a horn made of rubber-like clay, decorative ribbons and flowers.
The materials that I have used are:
- a cube-shaped cardboard box
- white acrylic paint
- white or beige eva rubber
- pink glitter cardstock
- glue glue
- hot silicone glue with gun
- gold glitter
- strips or ribbons of colored paper
- decorative flowers
- white gum-like clay that hardens in air
- a small decorative rose
- pink glitter tail
- black thick-tipped marker
- Brushes
- pencil
- scissors

First step:
We paint the entire box with white acrylic paint. We catch the clay and make two churros about 10 cm long and about 2,5 cm thick. When we have them ready we roll them together to form the horn. We finish the tip of the horn with the help of the hand so that it has a sharp shape. Let the clay dry as it will air dry. We will smear the horn with white glue and we will throw the golden glitter so that it sticks to the tail.
Second step:
We make the ears: On a piece of eva rubber we draw one of the ears and we cut it out. We use this ear as a template to draw the other, so they will have the same shape and size. On the back of a glitter card we trace one of the ears and draw two. Inside the drawn outline, we paint another small ear that will act as the inner part of the ear. We will cut it out and stick it to the ear of the eva rubber with glue.
Third step:
We take the strips of colored paper and curl them with the help of scissors. In the part where the face of the unicorn is, we will add two globs of pink tail and a little glitter. We will extend it with the help of a brush simulating the pink tones of the cheekbones.
Fourth step:
We will draw the eyes of the unicorn. To make the curve of the eyes the same I have helped myself with one of the ears, taking advantage of its curve we draw the shape of the eye with a pencil and finish by drawing the eyelashes. Later we mark the drawing with a black marker.
Fifth step
On the top of the box we are placing all the elements that we have been making. We are going to stick them with the hot silicone. And as a final finish we will place the flowers to give that glamorous unicorn look.
