Valentine heart

It's today something decorative for the house and thus make a gift for Valentine's Day. Prepairing a romantic corner for this day.

It is a decorative heart made of cardboard and some pieces of a puzzle that it no longer serves us or that we are missing a piece. In Crafts ON I show you how to do it.

Makings:

• Puzzle pieces.
• Thick cardboard.
• Pencil.
• Cutter.
• Silicone.
• Sisal rope.
• Ball or bead of costume jewelery.

Processing:

1. We draw a heart on the cardboard. Taking into account the size of the puzzle, it can be larger or smaller.
2. With the cutter we cut the shape of the heart. We are doing it carefully because if the cardboard is thick it will cost a little more.
3. We empty the cardboard leaving a little more than a centimeter in its contour, leaving us two hearts.
4. With silicone we are gluing the pieces of the puzzle in the heart-shaped cardboard frame. I recommend presenting them first to see how they fit us.
5. We glue a row of the pieces and then a second to cover the cardboard and may the heart gain more body.
6. We paint two coats of paint. In my case I used the mint green chalkboard paint. Let dry between layer and layer.
7. We give it an aged or vintage look with a dark wax patina.
8. We tie the bead on the rope and glue it with silicone to the heart from the back.

We only have left place it in a corner of the house and give it a romantic touch with some flowers and candles. Do not tell me that it is not an original idea to spend an evening with your partner, we lack the glasses of wine and to toast!
