We make 3 different cork soap dishes

Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to make three cork soap dishes. Each one different. They are very simple to make and work great for putting our solid soaps or shampoo in the bathtub or shower. In addition, we are reusing the corks from the bottles.

Do you want to see how to do them?

Materials that we will need to make our three cork soap dishes

  • Straight corks, you can also use the tail of the champagne corks for soap dish number three.
  • Cutter
  • Hot glue gun
  • Rope
  • Thick needle, awl or fine screwdriver to make holes in the corks

Hands on craft

Soap dish number 1

This soap dish is the easiest to make, we just have to put several corks together, twist them a little so that they take a little shape and stick them each other with hot silicone.

Soap dish number 2

This soap dish is actually a somewhat more complex version of the previous one. With the help of an awl, screwdriver or similar we are going to make a little hole through four or five corks (always depending on the size of our soaps). We'll go later passing a rope through the holes of the corks so that they are united. We tie a knot at each end and finish.

Soap dish number three

This is the most complicated to do, and none of them have too much complication. This way of using corks we allows to make soap dishes that can take more shapes than with the previous two ways. We will go cutting the cork into slices about 5 mm wide. We'll go later joining these slices in the way that we like the most: a circle, a rectangle, a square or another shape that comes to mind.

And ready! You already have three options to choose from to make your cork soap dishes.

I hope you cheer up and make this craft
