Frac Suit jar to give away on Father's Day

Do you want a nice idea to give away in the Father's Day? we have this glass jar so you can recycle. We love how she has been left with such a stately presentation, with a Frac-type suit made with black and white cardboard. So that the ornaments can stand out, we have chosen them in red. This gift is a nice idea to show how a craft is made with all the love. In addition, it comes with a surprise, since it can be filled with candies.

If you like original ideas for gifts on Father's Day, we show you some of our ideas, all with step-by-step demonstration videos:

You can see this craft step by step in the following video:

The materials that have been used for the pendant:

  • 1 glass jar.
  • White cardboard.
  • Black cardboard.
  • 2 small red pompoms.
  • Red tie.
  • White marker.
  • Pencil.
  • Hot silicone and his gun.
  • Black tissue paper.
  • Jute rope.
  • Scissors.
  • Candies.

First step:

We cut a strip of white cardboard, it has to have the same width as the height of the glass jar and it has to cover the entire jar. We glue it around with hot glue.

Second step:

We take the black cardboard and do the same. We cut a strip wide enough to cover the entire height of the boat. We mark with the pencil the area where we have to cut the oblique shape, simulating the triangle of the jacket. We mark, cut and on the other side we measure how to make another oblique cut.

Third step:

We glue well the cardboard corners that are loose. With the white marker we paint some stripes on the edge of the jacket. We will also draw a side pocket.

Fourth step:

We glue two small red pompoms, to simulate the buttons of the jacket.

Fifth step:

We take a red satin bow and make a loop. The tails that remain below must be cut, but first of all we raise one and pass it through the middle of the knot and glue it. Now, with what's left of the loop we cut it. We take the bow and stick it as a bow tie on the top of the suit.

Step Six:

We put the candies inside the tissue paper. We make a nice closure and we tie it with the jute rope. In my case I have made a simple knot, but you can make a pretty bow.
