Recently showed how to make pendants with wool and wire, and today I bring you this other idea. Every now and then I get the feeling that instead of a home, I live in a kind of exhibition gallery. But I like it, it brings a lot of warmth and personality to it. And customizing the home, today I will teach you how to perform decorative pendants with ice cream sticks recycling scraps of cardboard.
Materials
- 16 colored sticks. 4 of each color.
- A scrap of cardboard
- Thick twine
- Scissors
- White glue
- Green and red paint
- Brush
Our Process
- Short two heart-shaped figures and two round-shaped figures from the cardboard scrap.
- Then paint them alternating colors. That is, one round and a green heart, and the other two red. Then, we are going to play with the colors when assembling it.
- As it dries, cut two long pieces of thick twine. On some occasions, I have used the same type of string, but being smooth. This time, I have taken a more rough and deformed one. Why? So that when mounting the pendants, they were not perfect, but were a little unevenly placed. This is already a matter of taste.
- Then glue the popsicle sticks of each color in the shape of a square as you see in the image. Let them stick out a little around the corners.
- Once the pieces of hearts and circles are dry, take it all, and there yes, decide how you prefer to assemble them!
- Glue the string on the back, next to the frames and pieces. I opted to play with colors a bit. Leaving the blue ones below, the hearts above, and interspersing the colors of these.
From here, where to put them is your decision. I hope you liked it. Remember that for this craft or others, you can follow us here or through our YouTube Channel!
